Creation of this site was only possible through the close collaboration between Herbarium and Applications Development teams and significant contributions of time and expertise from many other people. We here acknowledge some of those that have contributed to the enterprise.

The richness of the collection in the Herbarium is due to the efforts of botanists from many countries over centuries. More recently at Kew many staff and volunteers, too numerous to mention, have contributed to the enormous task of scanning the specimens digitally and entering records into the herbarium database. You can read about some of the projects that have contributed most to digitisation.

The software behind the herbarium catalogue database was built and maintained by Antonella Linguanti and the Applications Development Team at Kew from 2002 to the present.

The following have contributed directly to the succesful delivery of this project.
