Country: Tanzania Habitat: Short-grass-&-sedge seasonal swamp (grazed, not saline). With S.aureiglumis; (S.erectus present).
Location: T6. 28Km straight NNW of Dar es Salaam, 200m S of Log Cabins. Sea level Plant Description: Spikelets not sharp-angled (glumes in 10 rows). Fruits blackish brown, with slight, rounded horizontal ridges. Has basal fruits (much larger than aerial ones, & smooth) with long style + stigmas (c.13mm)
