Country: Bhutan-Sikkim Habitat: Fairly common in the district in warm moist mixed broad leaved forest, Quercus, Lithocarpus, Betula, Lauraceae, etc. Habitat quite different from that of P. wallichiana and P. roxburghii which are restricted to arid valleys.
Location: E Bhutan Tashiyangsi Tschilingor 4 km N of Tschilingor, N of Samdrup Jongkhar. Plant Description: Tree up to 15 m, needles in fives, drooping, glaucous green beneath. Young shoots pubescent.
