Country: Cameroon Habitat: High forest, canopy dominated by Desbordesia, Irvingia, and Lophira, with Strombosia and Garcinia in the middlestorey. Soils old volcanics.
Location: South-West Cameroon Mount Cameroon Mabeta Plant Description: Small understorey treelet to 4.5m, with a single erect stem and whorls of horizontal branches. Bark black, smooth. Lvs. assymetric, overlapping. Fls. borne below the lvs. on underside tigs; C fused in tube with 3 free tips around a very narrow eye, cream.
