Location: Mimika Regency, PT-Freeport Indonesia Concession Area: Carstensz Meadow, Trial Plots. Plant Description: Trunk to 1 m tall.. Scales greyish-black, to 3-4 cm long, scales translucent but cell walls black, teeth along margin black. Fronds. Stipe: to 37 cm long. Stipe with widely scattered long grey scales and dense black spines. Rachis: Pinnae stalked to 1 cm
